Khandaani Shafakhan Box-Office Day 1: Sonakshi Sinha And Baadshah Starrer Opens To Dismal Numbers

Sonakshi Sinha’s luck at the box-office seems to be on a downward slope these days. Welcome To New York, Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi and Kalank have all been duds at the box-office and now her latest film Khandaani Shafakhana has also opened to dismal numbers.

The film, which also happens to be pop-sensation Badshaah’s acting debut, earned a measly 75 lakhs on its opening day. The film has also not been applauded by the critics and neither are initial audience reaction too great. Thus it is almost certain that the word of mouth is not going to do any favors to the film. Hence, it is almost impossible for the film to witness a drastic jump in collections on Saturday and Sunday either.

Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta the film is a comedy about Baby Bedi who suddenly finds herself to be the keeper of a sex clinic that she has been left from her dead relative. Despite the interesting premise, most critics have disliked the film mostly due to poor writing, incompetent direction and lack of sincere performances.
