2.0 Box Office - Akshay Kumar And Rajinikanth Get A Phenomenal Start For The Hindi Version

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is already shattering records across the country after just one day of its release. The film released on 10500 screens all over the world and expected to break box office records of the biggest openers like Bahubali 2 and Thugs Of Hindostan. The film had an advance booking of over a million tickets on book my show alone! With so much hype around the film the numbers dropping in from different regions prove that the film may have earned 100 crores on its opening day alone.

The film released in three Indian languages – Tamil, Hindi and Telugu – and the numbers for the Hindi version are already in. The Shankar film has earned 20.25 crores in its Hindi version which is a phenomenal start for a nonholiday release.

The film has Akshay Kumar making his debut in the south as a villain and in Chennai, the film has already broken all records and become the highest grossing opener with 2.64 crores in its kitty ahead of movies like Sarkar and Kaala.

2.0 is made on a budget of 550 crores and is said to have recovered around Rs 370 crores by through the sale of satellite, digital and distribution rights.
