Amitabh Bachchan Debuts In 100 Crore Club With Thugs Of Hindostan, Sara Ali Khan Expected To Be The Newest Entrant With Simmba and Kedarnath

2018 is about to come to a close and now only four major films are remaining for release - 2.0, Kedarnath, Zero and Simmba. Each of the leading men in there, be it Rajinikanth/Akshay Kumar, Sushant Singh Rajput, Shah Rukh Khan or Ranveer Singh has one or more 100 crore club films to his name. As for the leading ladies, Amy Jackson, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma too have enjoyed this standing. Sara Ali Khan too could well be enjoying a double whammy of centuries as Simmba is sure to enter 100 Crore Club and Kedarnath may surprise too.

Meanwhile, there have been nine new entrants already in the 100 Crore club this year. Let's take a look.

Shahid Kapoor - Padmaavat - 302.15 crore

In the industry for over a decade and a half, it took Shahid Kapoor quite a while to break into the elite club. Well, he did that with style as it was not a century or a double century but a direct triple century for him with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. Of course, there were Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone bringing in maximum weight but still, Shahid made a mark.

Amitabh Bachchan - Thugs of Hindostan (expected lifetime collection - 150 crore)

The biggest mega star of three generations, Amitabh Bachchan has delivered several Blockbusters over the decades. However in the current era of 100 crore club (since the arrival of Ghajini), Mr. Bachchan had to wait for a while to score a century. The greatest of them all, he has now scored one with Thugs of Hindostan which has been spearheaded by Aamir Khan.

Tiger Shroff - Baaghi 2 - 166 crore

A young entrant who has been largely scored with his action drama thrillers, Tiger Shroff surprised one and all when his Baaghi 2 took a phenomenal opening of 25.10 crore. However what was even more pleasing was the fact that the film continued to gain momentum with every passing day. Result? The film didn't just go past the 100 crore mark but breached even 150 crore.

Rajkummar Rao - Stree - 130 crore

For an actor who has been consistent when it comes to art, Rajkummar Rao was making some kind of noise from a commerce standpoint also, courtesy Bareilly Ki Barfi and Newton. These films succeeded because of the controlled budget but then he went on to deliver a bonafide blockbuster with Stree which has actually done triple the business which was expected out of it.

Ayushmann Khurranna - Badhaai Ho (expected lifetime collections - 125 crore)

Another actor who has been consistent not just at the Box Office but sheer variety of scripts is Ayushmann Khurranna. After delivering a hat-trick of successes (Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Andhadhun), it was inevitable that he got a coveted entry into the 100 Crore Club. That happened with Badhaai Ho and celebrations haven't stopped ever since.

Kartik Aryan - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (109 crore)

From Pyaar Ka Punchnama to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, it has been one eventful journey for Kartik Aryan. Not many are aware that he was also the leading man for none other than Subhash Ghai who roped him in for Kaanchi. While that film was a disaster and a recent comedy Guest Iin London wasn't of much help either, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has made him a star no less.

Sunny Singh - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (109 crore)

Seen earlier in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, which was a bonafide superhit, he returned with the successful team of director Luv Ranjan and leading man Kartik Aryan with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Playing the central role of Titu around whom the story revolves, he was confidence personified and brought in smiles as well as emotions. A well deserved entry into the century club.

Nushrat Bharucha - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (109 crore)

In the industry for a while, Nushrat Bharucha made a good first impression with her leading lady debut in Love Sex aud Dhokha where she had Rajkummar Rao as her co-star. The film was a success and so were Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel. However, Nushrat found her true calling with Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety where she played a bewitching leading lady to the fullest.

Mouni Roy - Gold (105 crore)

A popular face in the world of television, she made an entry in Bollywood with big budget sports drama, Gold. An Akshay Kumar starrer, it didn't have to do for Mouni Roy. However, a success is a success and the fact remains that she was noticed. Moreover, even though the film didn't cover the kind of distance that it deserved, Mouni did get an entry in 100 Crore Club.
