Article 15 Box-Office Day 1: The Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Collects 5.02 Crores!

Ayushmann Khurrana has become a name to reckon with now. After two back-to-back hits with Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho last year, fans had been looking forward to huis first release of the year. This time, instead of a comedy, Ayushmann was seen in one of such social dramas that dealt with a stark reality of the nation, Article 15. With Article 15, Ayushmann collaborated with Anubhav Sinha for the first time. The box-office collection of the film is already here.

Article 15 had a decent opening at box-office. The film collected 5.02 crores on day 1. While morning shows were more or less empty, the film gained momentum from the evening shows. The film is expected to collect well on the first weekend, thanks to good reviews.

Given the grim nature, the film will have only a very niche audience base. It has been predicted that the film might not do too well at single theaters but multiplexes and urban audiences will contribute significantly to the film’s collection. Ayushmann Khurrana has given yet another great performance and it is to be seen how mucgh that would drive audiences to watch the film.

Kabir Singh, on the other hand, has been having a dream run at the BO and is in no mood to stop. Would Kabir Singh kill the biz of Article 15? Only the weekend collection would be able to answer that.
