Batla House Box-Office Day 4: The John Abraham Starrer Is Yet To Make 50 Crores!

Last year when Gold and Satyamava Jayate clashed at the box-office, it had been a win-win situation for both Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. We thought that history might be repeated this year as well, but alas, that did not happen. While Mission Mangal is trending well, Batla House seems to be losing it out in the race.

Trade analysts had thought that the film might be making 50 crores by the end of the opening weekend. The film had opened at 15.55 crores on Day 1 and if it had kept the numbers up, it could have made 50 crores. But with Mission Mangal trending well on the weekend, the biz of Batla House was hampered. The film made 12.70 crores on Sunday and the total biz is now 47.99 crores.

With Mission Mangal ruling the box-office, Batla House needs to keep up the pace on the weekends to do a good lifetime business. It is only through the weekday collection that it’s lifetime biz can be predicted.
