Can Sanju Beat Padmaavat And Race 3 To Be The Highest Opener Of 2018?

Sanjay Dutt’s life story just got larger as Sanju hits the theatres tomorrow. With some wild anticipation around the film, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film is expected to take a huge opening on the first day of its release. Sanju stars Ranbir Kapoor and has been directed Sanjay Dutt’s close friend Rajkumar Hirani who also made Munna Bhai M.B.B.S with the actor.

With no competition to clash with and a clear window of at least 15 days in sight at the box office, Sanju is expected to break records, unlike any other film. With Salman Khan’s Race 3 that released two weeks ago almost passing from theatres, Sanju has scored a massive 4000 screens across the country.

The opening day collections of Sanju can certainly be expected to be between rupees 30 to 35 crores and can easily cross a weekend of 100 crores. 2018’s biggest opener Padmaavat collected 19 crores from pre-release screening and about 32 crores on it’s opening Friday, the second-highest opener Salman Khan’s Race 3 had an opening day of 29 crores. Sanju is anticipated to be the biggest movie of the year so far and is expected to easily surpass the collections and even become a blockbuster soon.
