Here Is Why Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi Can Be Your Perfect De-Stress Plan This Weekend

Back in2016, when Mudassar Aziz came up with this small film with no superstars, nobody expected that the film would land up in their list of favorite comedy films. But exactly that happened and Happy Bhaag Jayegi indeed became one film that surprised us all. Starring Jimmy Shergill, Diana Penty, Ali Fazal, Abhay Deol and Piyush Mishra the film wowed audience against everybody’s expectation

This time the makers of the film are back with the sequel of the film with mostly the same star cast and some interesting new additions. Directed by Mudassar Aziz who directed the first installment as well, Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi is all set to hit the theatres on 24th August and these are the reasons why we are absolutely looking forward to it.

    Comedy Involving Confused Identity

Here Is Why Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi Can Be Your Perfect De-Stress Plan This Weekend

Although this concept has been beaten to death in film in Bollywood and in fact, all over the world, if handled properly, it is one concept in comedy that never fails to work. The trailer confirms the fact the film is about a case of mistaken identity giving rise to hilarious situations, which we think, would be a great treat.

Piyush Mishra and Jimmy Shergill’s Amazing Comic Chemistry

In the last installment, whenever Jimmy Shergill playing Daman Singh Bagga and Piyush Mishra playing Afridi had some of the best scenes together. Afridi’s Urdu and Bagga’s authentic Punjabi when set against each other made for some of the best jokes in the film. While last time it was Ali Fazal who had more scenes with Piyush Mishra, this time, it looks like, Afridi and Bagga will have a lot of scenes together and we cannot imagine a better treat.

    Punjab Meets China

Last time the story was set in Pakistan, but this time the story is set in another ‘padosi mulk’, China. We can imagine the plethora of hilarious situation that can possibly arise from these two contrasting cultures coming together. We already have our hearts set on the ‘Maka Ju’ jokes.

Fresh Pairing of Sonakshi, Jimmy Shergill, and Jassi Gill

While one of the major reasons why we are excited about the film is because of the fact that they have retained most of the major characters from the previous film, except for Abhay Deol and Momal Sheikh. But in the second installment it the fresh energy between Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, and Jassi Gill would be interesting to see.

    Funky Music

Although the music of the first films was not that popular, but people who like to dig a little deeper would remember songs like Yaaram and Aasiq Tera. This time also the background score of the film sounds pretty cool and we have the same expectations from the music of the film as well.
