Mission Mangal Box-Office Day 9: The Akshay Kumar Starrer Is All Set To Become His Highest Grossing Film!

Mission Mangal is going strong and steady at the box-office. Unlike last year where both Akshay and John’s release had trended well at the BO, this year it is Akshay and the team whose Mission Mangal is enjoying an upper hand over John Abraham’s Batla House. The film had already made itself the highest opener for the entire cast of the film. Now it might just become the second highest grosser for Akshay Kumar and Sharman Joshi and the highest grosser for the rest!

The film saw a slight surge on its collection on Day 9, i.e, on its second Friday. The film collected 7.83 crores as compared to 6.93 crores on Thursday, m taking the total collection to 135.99 crores. Now thanks to Janmashtami and no release this week, the film should see a further growth in collection.

Till now, it is the third highest grosser for Akshay Kumar but it can soon overtake the lifetime collection of Kesari, which is Akshay’s second highest grosser! It should cross Kesari’s mark by the weekend, but we are yet to see if it can emerge as Akshay’s highest grossing film by defeating 2.0!

Mission Mangal is about India’s first successful mission to Mars. Besides Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi in key roles!
