However, there are also certain youngsters who have delivered a major success or two in the recent times and are on the verge of being hailed as superstars in time to come.

She has been around for a while and now is finally getting her due. Even after delivering a major success in Pink and also featuring in a quintessential masala entertainer Judwaa 2, Taapsee Pannu had to constantly prove herself while working across different genre of films. However, Mulk reaffirmed her stature as a credible actress and now the super success of Badla has been a shot in the arm for her. She would soon be seen in ensemble affair Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar. Meanwhile, she is super excited about Saand Ki Aankh and Thappad, her next two.

Kriti Sanon [Last hit: Luka Chuppi, last flop: Raabta, upcoming films: Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4, Panipat]

Though she did suffer a flop in Raabta, Kriti Sanon kept her head high and delivered a success in Bareilly Ki Barfi. With good critical acclaim as well as commercial success coming her way, she chose to wait before picking her next set of films. Her decision paid off as Luka Chuppi has turned out to be a Superhit. She has a very eventful year ahead of her with as many as three films lined up for release in quick succession - Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4 and Panipat.

Sara Ali Khan [Last hit: Simmba, last flop: none, upcoming films: Love Aaj Kal 2]

She has just arrived and made an instant mark in Bollywood. All eyes were on Sara Ali Khan when she made her debut with Kedarnath. Ironically, at one point in time it had seemed that the film may not see the light of the day. Not just that as the film's success was followed by Blockbuster run of Simmba. Sara's stocks are now indeed high and there is much curiosity to check out what she has to offer with Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal 2 where she has Kartik Aaryan as her leading man.

Janhvi Kapoor [Last hit: Dhadak, last flop: none, upcoming films: Gunjan Saxena biopic, Takth]

With her very first film, Janhvi Kapoor pretty much announced that she is here to stay. Dhadak emerged as a Hit film and now Karan Johar has also roped her in for his big budget multi-starrer extravagant affair, Takth. Meanwhile, she is also taking a realistic route with the biopic of Gunjan Saxena, Indian Air force’s female pilot. One waits though for the film's official announcement to be made.

Disha Patani [Last hit: Baaghi 2, last flop: Kung Fu Yoga, upcoming films: Bharat, Malang, Anees Bazmee's next]

She stepped into Bollywood with a major success, M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story. Later she delivered a Blockbuster in Baaghi 2. Even though the two films were punctuated by the flop show of her Indo-China collaboration Kung Fu Yoga, Disha Patani is quite active in the endorsements circuits. Meanwhile, she has number of films lined up for release as well and with each of these belonging to different genre, one could well see different facets of Disha's acting talent.

In the film industry for a decade, courtesy her stint down South, Kriti Kharbanda has been slowly but steadily making a mark in Bollywood as well. Though she is yet to feature in a quintessential Hit film, her Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana had turned out to be a fair success and also showcased her acting talent. In fact she was the sole bright spot of the disastrous Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. She would next be seen in ensemble multi-starrer affairs Housefull 4 and Pagalpanti.

Mouni Roy [Last hit: Gold, last flop: none, upcoming films: Romeo Akbar Walter, Made In China, Brahmastra]

Known for her stint in the television circuit, Mouni Roy made her Bollywood debut with Gold last year. She has a variety of films lined up, what with a spy thriller with John Abraham [Romeo Akbar Walter], a slice of life light hearted drama with Rajkummar Rao [Made In China] and the sci-fi affair with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan [Brahmastra]. With such major films set for release, Mouni is certainly gearing up for a very busy 2019 ahead.
