Tiger Zinda Hai's Opening Day Number Proves That Salman Khan's Stardom Is Unmatched!

A lot is dependent on Tiger Zinda Hai for Bollywood. The Hindi film industry is facing a problem with the number of footfalls declining this year. Salman Khan ’s latest film might help curtail the downward spiral to some extent. The film has started on a good note and has registered good numbers on its opening day.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Tiger Zinda Hai has opened to packed houses. The film, which was released in 5700 screens worldwide, has garnered more than Rs 33 crore on day one.

Tiger Zinda Hai has also become the second highest opening film of the year after Baahubali 2.

Tiger Zinda Hai has earned more than Rs 6 crore in UAE. It has also garnered more than Rs 1 crore in Australia and more than Rs 38 lakh in New Zealand.

As per boxofficeindia.com, the number of cinema goers in India has gone down to 22.5 crore in 2017 from 34 crore in 2013. This coupled with rising ticket prices has presented a big problem for the producers who look for recovering their production cost within the first weekend. Now, their films need to run in the cinema halls for at least 10 days to start churning profits.

Tiger Zinda Hai has been released in 5700 screens worldwide and that might be a solace. Even 60% occupancy can ensure a weekend with more than Rs 66 crore. But, if that doesn’t happen than Tiger Zinda Hai might find itself in trouble.

Tiger Zinda Hai is the story of daredevil RAW agent Tiger returning from his exile. He, along with Pakistani agent and his wife Zoya ( Katrina Kaif ), is in the den of the world’s most dreaded terrorists. Will he succeed in the rescue mission of abducted nurses?
