War Day 5 Box-Office: Hrithik-Tiger Mania Goes Insane, Mints A Whopping 166.25 Crores!

Looks like Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War is going to set new box-office records with every passing day. The film became the highest opener of all times for any Hindi film and now, after the first weekend, it is continuing its massive dominance on the box-office and is in no mood to slow down at all!

On Sunday, i.e., on Day 5, the film collected a whopping 36.10 crores for the Hindi version while it pocketed another 1.30 crores for its Tamil and Telugu versions combined. The total collection on Sunday itself was 37.40 crores! The total collection of War is now 166.25 crores after the first weekend.

It might be a festive extended weekend, but within 5 days, War has already surpassed the collection of some of the highest grossing films of the year. It has crossed the collection of Kesari, Chhichhore, Gully Boy, Total Dhamaal, the Hindi version of Saaho and Hrithik’s last film before War, Super 30. The film might as well cross the collection of Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and Salman Khan’s Bharat by Tuesday. By Day 6, the film will definitely cross 175 crores!

Thanks to another holiday on Day 7, i.e., on Tuesday, War might just enter the 200 crore club. Going by the trend and the fact that it would have two smaller releases in the coming weeks, Priyanka Chopra starrer The Sky Is Pink on 11^th October and Saif Ali Khan’s Laal Kaptaan on 18^th October, the film would continue its upper hand at the box-office. Needless to say, the film might as well become the highest grossing film of the year, toppling Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kabir Singh’s collections by the second weekend, if not by Week 1.
