Shoojit Sircar 's October is all set to hit the theatres this Friday and there are so many reasons we are excited about this venture. After winning the hearts of the audiences with Piku the director has come back with another story and this one is really close to his heart. Starring Varun Dhawan and newcomer Banita Sandhu in a story that is about love but not a love story. Here’s what we are excepting from this seemingly different Friday release.

Performances - Varun Dhawan is experimenting in this film in a big way and as it is evident from his career graph that after all the masala entertainers he has finally settled on something more subtle and subdued with October. The performance and story no doubt is creating a lot of curiosity. Varun has thoroughly researched for the role spending quite some time training in hotels and working with housekeeping. The film’s breezy appeal coupled with Varun Dhawan’s star power can create a crazy mix at the box office.

Banita Sandhu’s Bollywood debut looks like she is all set to deliver then a promising performance. If you not floored seeing her in the ad of Double Mint, then her watch out for October.

Shoojit Sircar's brand of cinema – The Piku director has a way of getting under your skin and making you feel the raw emotions as they should be. If you were moved by Piku and the father-daughter tale of love and attachment, then October is another film that promises a lot of surprises and is making us curious.

Moreover, the life draws from an incident in his own life and that makes the film all the more special to him.  From the trailer he has created a promise of many things and has already drawn us in.

Cinematography and music– The film has a breezy appeal to it with an intense storyline that is enhanced by the great cinematography. October’s trailer transports you into its own world and there is something quite soothing about each frame.  The music intensifies all the emotions that Shoojit Sircar wants you to feel and that is a big thing for any film to do.

A story of love and not a love story – Love stories is probably the most overused theme in bollywood films. But Shoojit Sicar’s film promises otherwise. The dichotomy is enough to pull people to the theatres and explore what it means and how he has managed to differentiate the two themes.
