For those who love cinema beyond its entertainment value would know the place Bengali cinema holds in the history of filmmaking. Right from filmmakers like Satyajit Ray to Ritwik Ghatak, or actors like Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, or the more contemporary Shaswata Chatterjee, the film industry can boast of a rich heritage and a pool of talent. But compared to other regional industries like Tamil, Telugu or even Marathi, the Bengali film industry is not as popular today as it should be.

But it looks like Bengali cinema has started taking the leap. In the last few years, many popular Bengali films were remade in Bollywood, but they failed to create the expected impact. But SVF production house is all set to take a leap to the next level. They will be making a grand release for their upcoming venture, ‘Amazon Obhijaan’.
