After all the generic songs- daaru song, party song and love song, the mandatory heartbreak song from Arjun Patiala is here and it is sung by none other than Diljit himself.

While most of the songs are spoofs and pokes fun at themselves, Dil Todeya song has a certain earnestness that speaks for itself. The song, which is mainly in Punjabi, has been made even more brilliant with the soulful voice of Diljit Dosanjh. This song does not work a lot when giving us glimpses into the film. It just shows two heartbroken people- Diljit and Kriti’s character, nursing their heartbreak. While Kriti cannot stop her tears from rolling, even on a live television, DIljit waters the flowers that remind him of Kriti.

Arjun Patiala is all set to hit the theatres on 26^th July, 2019. It will be a spoof comedy, one of the firsts of its genre in Bollywood, which is why even the songs stick to a genre. The film, that stars Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma on the lead, will clash with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya.
