The trailer of Bamfaad is here. And just when you thought that we would have no new Bollywood films during this lockdown, Anurag Kashyap has not just come with a respite but would also introduce two new faces in the industry. Yes, he is all set to bring Bamfaad into our computer screens and the film will have Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal and Arjun Reddy star Shalini Pandey in the lead.

Yes you read that right. In the trailer, Aditya plays Naate, a ‘bamfaad’ boy who falls in love with Shalini Pandey’s Neelam, a ‘bamfaad’ ladki. This is a love story, but with Anurag Kashyap in the director’s chair, expect to see the raw energy and a story that goes into the bylanes of Allahabaad.

Aditya Rawal shows spark in the trailer. He has gotten the diction and the body language perfectly well, and you would not be able to understand that he would be the son of a renowned actor and a former miss India. He seems to have transformed and we would look forward to see him in the film.

Shalini Pandey’s potential is known to all and she is just as brilliant as she always has been. However, what we fail to understand is why everyone seems to be obsessed with either slapping her or adjusting her ‘chunni’.

Given that this is an Anurag Kashyap film, we honestly expected some more intensity. This looks quite mellowed, even though the film is to release on OTT platform, Zee 5. Check out the trailer here:

The film would be out on 10th April.
