Bhoot: The Haunted Ship - The Trailer Featuring Vicky Kaushal Has All Cliches We Expect In A Horror Film, But Can It Go Beyond?

The trailer of Dharma’s much awaited horror venture, Bhoot: The Haunted Ship is here and we are intrigued by how similar it looked to The Ghost Ship.

The trailer of Bhoot: The Haunted Ship is here. Featuring Vicky Kaushal in the lead, the film is based on the story of a couple who went missing after they went inside an abandoned ship in Mumbai. But looking at the trailer, it seemed more about Vicky Kaushal unravelling the mystery of the ship than the couple.

Vicky Kaushal plays Prithvi, who is the surveying officer of a dead ship called ‘Sea Bird’ that had been washed ashore in Mumbai due to weather conditions.

If you have seen the Ghost Ship, or even its trailer, you cannot ignore the similarity that these two films have. It also has quite a few clichés, like crawling ghosts, cracking glass and of course, white apparitions. We really hope this one does have more than what meets the eyes in the tailer.

And here’s The Ghost Ship’s trailer.

Bhoot: The Haunted Ship would not just be Dharma’s first full-fledged horror film, but also a first for Vicky Kaushal, who had earlier said that he would never do a horror film because he gets spooked easily. The film will have Bhumi Pednekar in a cameo. Bhoot is all set to release on 21st February and would clash with Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan.
