Chan Kitthan: Ayushmann Khurrana's Latest Song Is Just Perfect For This Rainy Season

Ayushmann Khurrana's latest song Chan Kitthan is a recreated version of the famous Punjabi folk song going by the same name. Ayushmann is not only a great actor but a talented singer as well who has sung melodious songs like Paani Da Rang, Saadi Galli Aaja, Mitti Di Khushboo, Ik Vaari and Yahin Hoon Main among others.

Chan Kitthan is directed by Suresh Triveni who directed Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu and the music is given by Rochak Kohli while the lyrics have been penned by Kumaar. Pranitha Subhash stars alongside Ayushmann in the song. Here is the song breakdown:

Lyrics: Chan Kitthan is a popular Punjabi folklore song known as Tappe and the new lyrics have been added by Kumaar to make this new version. The song is heavy on romance, emotions and longing for a loved one. 

Tragic Love Story: The song unfolds like a film and Suresh Triveni's storytelling engrosses us in the song. Ayushmann is an officer of the law who is in love with Pranitha's character who is a volunteer at the local drug rehabilitation centre. She is accused of the murder of a youth under treatment and we can see her being taken away by the police.

Beautiful locations: The song has been shot in the beautiful locations in the Himalayas. The rainy weather with dark clouds hovering all over give it a hauntingly romantic feeling which results in a tragedy. 

Evoking emotions: The picturization is totally in sync with the lyrics and as the song is unfolding the listener slowly loses himself in its melody. 

Reminiscence: The song constantly moves back and forth between the present and the past. As the lyrics suggest as well, Ayushmann's character is reminiscing about the good times spent with Pranitha's character.
