The trailer of Netflix Originals web series ‘Sacred Games’ is here! The show will be available on Netflix from July 6^th and the trailer, although is not something we have never seen before, looks fairly intriguing because of its presentation and execution. A stellar cast is only adding to the appeal and given the unique freshness and honesty that web content is known for we are sure this cop-chasing-deranged criminal to save the city thriller would be totally on our binge list!

A city-under-threat thriller

From the trailer, it is obvious that the story of is that of a deranged criminal who is about to do spell doom on the city and a group of people that includes an out of case cop is on the hunt to bring down the criminal and save the city from the imminent threat. Although this is not exactly a fresh concept, if done right, it could be a gripping thriller which it actually looks like it is going to be.

Stellar Star Cast

Sacred Games have managed to assemble a star cast that even no Bollywood film has managed to do. With Saif Ali Khan playing a Sardar cop, Nawazuddin Siddique playing Ganesh Gaitonde, a deranged criminal with a literal god complex with Radhika Apte, Neeraj Kabi and Sameer Kochhar in pivotal roles, we can’t even believe the amount of acting talent that the show has in store. It is surely making us hopeful in terms of witnessing some powerful performances

Has Its Soul Mumbai

From its back alleyways to the grimy police stations to swanky world of glamour and films, this series surely has Mumbai written all over it. Although the journeys of the character would be individual, the common thread binding them together is the soul of the tinsel town!

Major Raman Raghav 2.0 Feels

In certain places, the trailer will instantly remind you of Raman Raghav 2.0. Firstly Nawaz’s character sure has certain shades of his character from Raman Raghav 2.0. Even Saif’s character who is shown battling his own demons is somewhat reminiscent of Vicky Kaushal’s character in the film. To top it all, the grimy, dark feel with tight shots and the squalor of the city also gave us major Raman Raghav feels!

Divine’s Music

If you felt that the music in the trailer feels familiar that is because it is indeed familiar! The music playing in the background is that of rapper Divine’s and his Gully Gang. Apart from giving a raw and rugged appeal to the visuals, the music also cements the heavy Mumbai connection of the films.
