How Varun Dhawan Beat The Top 5 Bollywood Stars With A Single Film

Varun Dhawan is just 9 films old in Bollywood but he has already established as one of the leading actors in the industry. It's hard to believe that the actor has a clean slate for all his 9 films and hasn't given a flop yet. It should be admired about him that he has gelled up pretty well with the audience's expectations and only does films that are mass entertainers.

Though he has experimented with films like Badlapur and performed exceptionally well, he still prefers to do mass entertainers and his Dusshera release this year Judwaa 2 is breaking box office records. What is interesting to see here is that Varun Dhawan has also created a box office record this year by beating the leading Bollywood actors in terms of weekend gross. Here are the actors he has beaten:

Shah Rukh Khan - Varun's Judwaa 2 has beaten Jab Harry Met Sejal's weekend collections. JHMS collected 45.75 crores in its opening weekend.  

Akshay Kumar - Judwaa 2 has also grossed more than Akshay Kumar's this year's releases Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Jolly LLB 2. Toilet grossed 51.45 crores and Jolly grossed 50.46 crores while Judwaa 2 grossed 59.25 crores in its opening weekend.

Ajay Devgn - Varun's Judwaa 2 also beat Ajay Devgn's multi starrer  Baadshaho that only grossed 43.30 crores in its opening weekend.

Hrithik Roshan - The 4 day gross of Judwaa 2 is 77.25 crores which is more than Kaabil 's 5-day extended weekend gross of 67 crores.

Salman Khan - The actor's Tubelight grossed only 64 crores on weekend and turned out to be a box office flop. While Varun' film grossed more than 59 crores and is bound to cross Tubelight's gross soon.
