The trailer of Shahid Kapoor’s long awaited Jersey is out now and after Kabir Singh it looks like Shahid is ready to deliver another blockbuster performance. The actor plays a family who has left his cricketing days behind him and along with it his happiness. A Hindi remake of Nani’s acclaimed Telugu film by the same name, Shahid’s film is about broken dreams, fatherhood, undying passion, and a battle for respect.

    The trailer of Jersey opens with Shahid trying to put together Rs. 500 to be able to get his son a new Jersey on his birthday. Being dependent on his wife who refuses him the money, he goes around asking everyone he knows and in his desperation comes face to faces with his past as a cricketer who abandoned the game a decade ago and now has another opportunity to prove himself by getting back into the stadium.

Jersey also stars Pankaj Kapur, Mrunal Thakur and has been directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who helmed the original film starring Nani.
