The former World No. 1 badminton player, a formidable woman in the field of sports, an inspiration to all sportsperson who wants to make it big in the field would be some of the most common answers one would come across. But what really went into the making of a badminton player from Haryana who dared to dream to become the World No. 1? That's the story that Amole Gupte's Saina is setting out to explore and bring out on-screen, and looking at the trailer, we can say that it would be an amazing watch.

The trailer of Saina, with Parineeti Chopra playing the titular role, is now out. While the teaser had already raised our expectations, the trailer is hitting the shuttlecock out of the court, if we may say so. The trailer shows what went into the making of Saina Nehwal and the player's unwavering courage and grit to beat everyone.

The trailer begins with Saina's mother urging her to carve new paths. It is her mother who seems to be the one who made her take up the sport. As she progresses, we see her climb the stairs of success, but she also eventually faces roadblocks. But, it is her faith in herself, and the reminder of how much her parents sacrificed for her, that keeps her moving.
