Sheer Qorma Trailer: This LGBTQ FIlm Starring Swara Bhaskar And Divya Dutta Wants Us To Accept Love In Every Form

The trailer of Sheer Qorma is already here. The film, that boasts of an ensemble cast including Shabana Azmi, Divya Dutta and Swara Bhaskar, would deal with everything - from same sex relationship to identifying as non-binary. It is a film about LGBTQ but unlike the recent Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan, this one is not promising anything entertaining, but rather wants us to think and ponder.

The film is about the relationship that Divya Dutta and Swara Bhaskar share. They are in love, but Divya Dutta’s mother feels that it’s impious and a sin and believes that she would be punished for her daughter’s relationship. Shabana Azmi portrays the character and she is probably the most perfect choice for the role.

Divya Dutta’s character also identifies herself as a non-binary person, something we have not yet seen in Indian cinema. The bits and parts where her relationship with Swara Bhaskar is shown are beautifully shot and are absolutely heart-warming.

The director is probably releasing the film only on festival circuits and we are not sure if it would ever hit the theatres. But we hope that the film is at least made available on OTT platform. Check out the trailer of the film here:
