    After a long wait, Disney has finally released the trailer of the most awaited film of the year. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the 8th film in the long-running space opera ‘Star Wars’ series and this film is the 2nd in the sequel trilogy. A sequel was almost a sure shot thing once The Force Awakens in 2015 released and became a box office juggernaut.

    It is now the 3rd highest grossing film of all time and The Last Jedi will continue the saga of the Skywalker family and as we see in the trailer, a big war is coming between the rebels and the first order. Rey and Kylo Ren will play a major role in deciding the fate of the galaxy. Here’s the trailer breakdown.

    Visuals- Star Wars films have always been praised for groundbreaking special effects and transporting the viewers to a whole new level. Here we also see some enchanting shots of the outer space and some new CGI characters. The film will be best watched in 3-D or IMAX.

    Director- The film is directed by Rian Johnson who is already a highly popular name among the science-fiction and geeky audience. He has directed the episodes of acclaimed series like Breaking Bad and films like Looper and Brick. He brings his own style and characterization and the story is also written by him. It’ll be interesting to see whether he is able to better J.J Abrams attempt or not.

    Carrie Fisher- The film is also the last appearance of Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa (formerly Princess). Fisher died last year after finishing work on the film and the fans are eagerly awaiting her final performance that makers have also termed as the best of her career.

    Mark Hamill- We finally see the elusive Luke Skywalker who is scared when Ray asks him for help as he fears that she may not utilize her capabilities in the right way and may turn to the dark side just like Han & Leia’s son Kylo Ren.

    Kylo Ren & Rey- The film will explore the back-story as well as majorly focus on the characters of Kylo (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisey Ridley). It seems in the trailer that both are not that different and the trailer ends on a grim note with Kylo offering her to show the way, now who’s switching to which side it remains to be seen.

    Finn & Poe- We also see the former stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega) fighting with Captain Phasma and who might also hold the key to destroy the first order. We also see Poe Dameron (Oscar Issac) in the middle of action along with his droid BB-8.
