WATCH: Kalank Trailer Reveals That The Film Has More Layers Than You Had Thought!

There has been so much about Kalank that had been coming out since last month that many of us had forgotten that the trailer has not yet been launched. First, there was the teaser and then three songs had come out and yet no one could guess what the storyline would be. But now, finally, the trailer is here and it is indeed throwing a lot of clarity into the storyline!

Here's what we could make out about Kalank from the trailer:

1. Dev and Satya are married

Sonakshi's Satya and Aditya Roy Kapur's Dev are married. She is his first wife, who he says he loves. 

2. It is a decision of Alia's Roop that changes everyone's life

Well, apparently Roop and Dev get married, in the presence of Satya. It is also revealed in the trailer that it was a decision taken from Roop's anger that their lives go haywire. Dev also reveals that while Roop would get all the respect in the relationship, she will never get any love!

It does look like Roop and Dev's marriage happens because Satya would not be able to conceive. 

3. Roop meets Varun's Zafar post her marriage

Roop meets Zafar after her marriage, which is why this 'Ishq' would be a 'Kalank'. While the two know what they are getting into, Roop steps into Zafar's world because she has nothing to lose! 

4. Kiara Advani would have a role in the film, as would Kunal Khemu!

Kiara's name might not be the surprise reveal, but the fact that she has more than a dance number is. Kiara will play one of the students of Madhuri's Baahar Begum and she has quite some role in the film. 

Another surprise reveal was Kunal Khemu, who seems to be playing one of Zafar's friends in the film!

Also, there will be a dance number featuring Kriti Sanon!

5. Zafar might be the result of a 'najayas mohabbat'

In the trailer, Baahar Begum talks about how the result of 'najayas mohabbat' is 'barbaadi'. It seems that Zafar might be the result of such an illegitimate relationship between Bahar Begum and Sanjay Dutt's Balraj. The trailer also shows Zafar and Dev dancing together, which means, they might have come to know the truth!
