Breaking: Chitrangada Singh To Make Her Web Series Debut With Zee5's TajMahal

Nowadays the Bollywood repertoire trend has been shifting towards the web platform at a humongous rate. We had earlier seen Saif Ali Khan, Nawazzudin Siddique, Radhika Apte all jumping into the web series Bandwagon and now a close source tells us that Chitrangada Singh will be making her debut on a web series titled Taj Mahal. The series is being directed by Nikhil Sinha. The cast, the creatives and other details are being looked into by Nikhil 's wife Sohanna Sinha.

The source revealed that the series will be an out and out historical and will revolve around the dark events that haunt the otherwise pure and sacrosanct appearing Taj.

We all know that the Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world and is an architectural marvel but there are many facts and stories about the monument that are more than enough to send shivers down the spine. The Taj that was built by Emperor Shahjahan in memory of hai loving wife Mumtaz Mahal during his lifetime was nothing but an ostentatious tombstone.

During the making of the humongous structure countless stories of architects having their little finger cut off or the ordeal of the elephants who had to carry huge chunks of white marble from Makrana, Rajasthan. These horror stories are countless. As a trick of fate, Shahjahan was reduced to a prisoner by his own son who could do nothing more but haplessly look at the mausoleum from his prison in his ending days.

The source also revealed that the makers wanted Bollywood faces to be part of the series and Chitrangada Singh was approached for the prominent role of a Begum.

Much has not been known about her character but the talks have almost been finalized. So guys get ready to see yet another Bollywood star be part of the web series.
