Indian Television has become infamous for showcasing extremely regressive content through the daily serials. While many would agree that the Doordarshan days showcased serials that were witty or way ahead of their times, the content deteriorated over time. With the advent of saas- bahu saga, the situation worsened. All the wives could care for was the welfare of the family and the long lives of their husband.
