Bollywood films are notoriously infamous for their long and tiring runtime. It's just recently that we are seeing films with a shorter runtime, though, when compared to their Hollywood counterparts, Bollywood films still have an average runtime of 140 to 180 minutes. Earlier, 3 hours was the minimum runtime for a quintessential Bollywood film and it would very well stretch to 3.5 or 4 hours.
