5 Must Watch Hindi Short Films Of 2017 That Could Not Win The Filmfare Award!
The Filmfare Awards for Short Films of the Year has already been announced and needless to say, Juice won big. Not only did it win the best short film award, but Shefali Shah also won the best actress. Jackie Shroff's role in Khujli was also appreciated and he won the best actor award. There were many more names in the list of the award winners.
But they are the best of the best. There have been a number of short films that could win the award but were absolutely brilliant. Here is a list of 5 more short films that you must watch, even though they did not win the Awards:
1. Aamad
The film is an interesting film on the equation shared by a father and his son. The handling of the story is subtle and we love how the word Aamad has been used in the film. The 12-minute film also has a superlative performance by Saquib Salim.
2. Anukul
The film looks at a futuristic time where robots are fast replacing human beings and their labour. While most people had been protesting against it, the protagonist buys a robot. They also share a special bond. But things turn upside down when the protagonist's brother, in a fit of rage, hits the robot! Both Saurabh Shukla and Parambrata won our hearts with their performance, but the story was the winner.
3. Chhuri
The short film boasts of a great cast, that of Anurag Kashyap, Surveen Chawla and Tisca Chopra. It was a classic story with a twist in the tale!
4. Lift
Directed by Imtiaz Ali's daughter Ida Ali, the film shows relationships through the filter of a lift! It is way mature than what you expect from a 15 year old!
5. Paanipath
It is the heart-wrenching story of how a family deals with water crisis. The end especially is heartbreaking. We loved the performance of Tejaswini Kolhapuri.
