Kedarnath Movie - Why You Must Watch Sushant & Sara Ali Khan's Kedarnath
Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath has had its own share of trouble right from the onset. The film first got delayed because of a problem with the production house and then after it was made and the trailer came out, many groups targetted the film as well. But looks like the film is now all set to hit the theatres this weekend.
The trailer and the teaser has looked absolutely promising and here are 5 reasons why we are totally, absolutely pitching for the first big release in December:
1. Sara Ali Khan
The world has already seen and heard Sara Ali Khan, thanks to her countless interviews and of course her appearance on Koffee With Karan with dad Saif Ali Khan. Needless to say, she has blown our minds with her presence of mind, her wit and charm and with the confidence that she exudes.
Even in the trailer, she looked absolutely stunning and we are looking forward to her big Bollywood debut. Needless to say, who would miss watching Sara on-screen?
But that also does not take away the fact that Sushant Singh Rajput is an impeccable actor who becomes the character he plays and it would be a treat to watch the two.
2. Cinematography
One of the most striking things about the trailer and all the songs had been the frames captured. The visuals are not just striking, but the frames are captured with perfection. This is definitely going to be a visual treat!
3. The backdrop
The backdrop of Kedarnath is the Kedarnath floods that devastated the region. There was a huge loss of life and property after the cloud break in the region back in 2013. It took months for Kedarnath to recover. We are interested to find out how it was weaved into the narrative.
4. The special effects
To recreate the Kedarnath floods, there has been significant use of VFX. In the trailer, the scenes involving the flood looked promising and that is one major reason to watch the film.
5. The story
The story of the film looks interesting. One, it shows the life of a 'pitthu' or people who carry pilgrims on their back. We have not seen anything like this on-screen before. Secondly, the film also explores a love angle between people from different communities and trouble ensuing from it. It is also important to note that Sushant plays a pitthu who shared the happiness and understands the emotion that the pilgrims have despite being from a different community- revealing that humans are connected through emotions rather than religion. We hope that the aspect is worked well in the film.
