5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Miss Helicopter Eela This Week!
It is not always that we get to see Kajol being her cheerful self on-screen. It is also not every day that she helms an entire film on her own shoulders. And even rarer is Pradeep Sarkar actually delighting the fans with his films. So, when three of these come together, fans would obviously be excited.
Well, Pradeep Sarkar’s Helicopter Eela is all set to hit the theatres this Tuesday after almost a month of delay because of the director’s health. But now that the film is all set to release, here are five reasons why you shouldn’t miss this film, at all:
1. The Cast
The film has Kajol in the lead who will be essaying the character of a single over-protective mother in the film. She will also play an aspiring singer. Kajol promises to bring her usual energy and enthusiasm and infuse it into the film. It is all the more special because she was last seen in the 2015 film Dilwale and we had to wait for 3 years to see her back in Bollywood. And she will be helming the film alone this time!
National Award winning actor Riddhi Sen will play her son in the film. Riddhi is a complete surprise package and has the mettle to do justice to whatever character he takes up. The two, we are hoping, would create some super dhamaka.
2. The Director
Pradeep Sarkar has taken up the director’s chair for this film. Pradeep is known for his style of film-making and has seldom disappointed fans. To give a perspective, it was him who directed all time favorite Bollywood films like Parineeta and Mardaani.
The director is also known for the strong women characters that he has given to Bollywood. In all his films, he has given us women characters who have always stood up for themselves in the face of adversities. So, we can expect to see Kajol in a different light altogether in this film.
3. The Storyline
The film is a remake of the famous Gujarati play by Anand Gandhi called Beta, Kaagdo. The storyline promises that there would be a myriad of emotion shown in the film. The film will not just make us emotional but will also give us a good dose of laughter and comic relief in between.
The time is right for content-oriented films in Bollywood and we have seen how content oriented films have never failed to entertain us. This will be one such feel-good movie.
4. The mother-son bond
The film will also explore the beautiful relationship between a mother and her son. The film will also show the experience of a single mother with a teenage son. From the trailer itself, it is evident that this will be a heart-warming tale!
5. No Villain
Aren’t you tired of just having an antagonist who plans and plots stuff and is manipulative? Well, this will have none.
