5 Shocking Things To Expect From Avengers: Infinity War
The Avengers will assemble once again in upcoming Infinity War after their last outing in The Age of Ultron defeated the rogue Artificial Intelligence created by Tony Stark. Probably Marvel's biggest creation ever, the coming together of the mightiest superheroes has always resulted in record-breaking business at the box-office. What started in the year 2008 will finally culminate in the Infinity War. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most well-defined franchises of all time and fans are eager to see what's in store for them.
Since the last 10 years, the audiences have been introduced to different superheroes, some of whom are leading their own franchises and some of them will be leading their solo-vehicles in the future. The audiences have become emotionally attached to these superheroes and the Russo brothers (Anthony & Joe) who are directing Infinity War and its sequel have warned the fans that this outing of Avengers will leave them shocked. As it's the culmination of Phase 3 of MCU, a lot of characters and storylines will meet their end while new stories and superheroes will take over. Here are 5 shocking things to expect from Infinity War:
Silver Surfer's Appearance: Silver Surfer will be making an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War and it seems Marvel has gotten the rights to the character who was earlier seen in the 20th Century Fox's 2007 film, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He will be portrayed by actor Curt Clendenin. Now that Disney will soon be taking over 20th Century Fox, the presence of Silver Surfer means that Galactus could soon make an appearance once Thanos is defeated.
Iron Man's death: Robert Downey Jr.'s name is synonymous with the MCU. He's their first superstar who kicked off Marvel's successful franchises and always gets the first billing in the posters. He's also the highest paid actor in the MCU. But like all good things, RDJ's time at Marvel is also coming to an end as his contract expires after the sequel to Infinity War. It is highly unlikely that he'll do any more solo Iron Man films as he is over 50 and the studio will look to recast and reboot his role. His character may die in Infinity War.
Peter Dinklage's mysterious character: Game of Thrones alum Peter Dinklage will also be appearing in Infinity War and his character is yet not revealed. Peter Dinklage is a great actor who has won the Emmy twice as the best supporting actor and there are rumors that he may play Eitri, the King of dwarves. Eitri is a master weapon forger and they have created Mjolnir, Thor's hammer.
Dr. Strange's demise: In a recent interview, Benedict Cumberbatch slipped it out that his character may not be seen in the sequel to Infinity War after all. His character is seen in the trailer being tortured by Ebony Maw, Thanos' henchman. Dr. Strange currently has the Time Stone which may spell doom for him.
Major side characters dying: Karen Gillan's Nebula, the adopted daughter of Thanos may play a major role in bringing him down and in the comics, her character dies when Thanos is defeated by the Avengers. Plus, it's always the side characters who are major victims in great battles. A similar fate may also be in store for Don Cheadle's War Machine as well.
