7 Films You Didn't Know Were Shot At Real Homes Of Bollywood Actors
Bollywood films are one of the major reasons a particular location becomes a tourist hotspot and people from all over the world start thronging to these places. The locations from iconic films such as DDLJ, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti etc. have become a must-visit for anyone who likes to travel and is bitten by Bollywood bug.
While a majority of Bollywood films are shot in film studios and mostly the areas in and around the City of Seven Islands, there are times when popular films have been shot at an actor's home. Not many people are aware of that but some of the biggest hits were shot at homes of popular stars and celebrities. Here are 7 Bollywood films you didn't know were shot at actor's homes:
Fan: SRK's 2016 film was shot at his house Mannat. There are scenes where Gaurav goes to meet his idol Aryan Khanna outside his home and Aryan's home is the real-life home of Shah Rukh Khan. All the crowd gathered outside is real and no CGI was deployed.
Bombay Talkies: To celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema, 4 filmmakers came together to make 4 different short films. Anurag Kashyap directed Vineet Kumar Singh and Amitabh Bachchan at the latter's Mumbai Bungalow Prateeksha.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan: Kabir Khan shot a few remaining scenes of the Salman Khan blockbuster at Salman Khan's Panvel farmhouse.
Dutt Biopic: A few scenes of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer were shot at Sanjay Dutt's Imperial Heights home and the neighbors filed a complaint against the crew for causing discomfort.
Bombay Talkies: The Karan Johar directed segment in the film which starred Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda and Saqib Saleem was shot at his house.
Veer Zaara: The Yash Chopra romance was shot at Saif Ali Khan's Pataudi palace in Pataudi. The palace has been a favorite among the filmmakers and films like Eat Pray Love and Rang De Basanti have also been shot here.
Ki & Ka: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan made a cameo in Ki & Ka and their scenes were shot at their home.
