Earlier known as WWF, Vince McMohan revamped the WWE model and soon made it one of the prime sources of entertainment not only in the USA but all over the world. The WWE is immensely popular in India as its editions such as Raw and Smackdown consistently rake in huge TRPs.
Its highly popular amongst the youth and WWE stars such as The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Roman Reigns and John Cena are some of the most followed wrestlers on social media. These wrestlers alone account for more than half of the merchandise sales of the WWE. Indian filmmakers have also sought their services in numerous films, here are 5 times when WWE superstars appeared in Bollywood films:
Harv Singh in Brothers: The WWE wrestler who earlier managed Jinder Mahal and forms one half of the Bollywood Boyz appeared in Akshay Kumar starrer Brothers.
Khali in Kushti: The Former WWE heavyweight champion The Great Khali appeared in Rajpal Yadav starrer Kushti. He has appeared in a couple of other Bollywood films as well.
Brian Lee as The Undertaker in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi: The wrestler used to portray the Undertaker in numerous gigs and also appeared in Akshay Kumar-Rekha's Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
Nathan Jones in A Flying Jatt: The WWE wrestler turned actor has appeared in a number of Hollywood sitcoms and movies. He appeared as the main villain in Tiger Shroff's A Flying Jatt.
