It is very difficult to maintain your stardom in Bollywood and we have seen a lot of film stars fall from grace because they couldn't handle their success and stardom. A number of celebrities who could have gone on to achieve great heights in their film career have now faded into oblivion because of that one incident which ultimately destroyed their career.
Few of these actors have been missing from action now while some of them are doing small roles in films and television but it is far from the days of glory they saw earlier in their career. It becomes very difficult for them to get back as the producers shy away from signing controversial figures as they think it would spell doom for their projects. Aman Verma: The TV actor was a huge rage in the early 2000s and was one of the most popular faces on Television. He was caught red-handed in a sting operation conducted by a news channel asking for sexual favours and has since then appeared on screen very few times.
Shakti Kapoor: The actor was caught in the same sting operation alongside Aman Verma and has hardly appeared in films since.
Vijay Raaz: He was caught by the UAE police for possession of Drugs in Dubai during the shooting of Deewane Huye Pagal. He has received limited offers since then.
Monica Bedi: The actress was appearing in big Bollywood films in the late 90s and early 2000s but was caught by the police with underworld don Abu Salem in Portugal and was jailed. She later came back to the entertainment world with Bigg Boss and has appeared in a few TV serials.
Mamta Kulkarni: The actress was dropped from numerous projects during the mid-90s due to her connections with the underworld and when she later on married drug kingpin, Vicky Goswami.
Vivek Oberoi: He himself has admitted numerous times that the feud with Salman Khan destroyed his career. The actor had called a press conference in 2003 where he alleged that a drunk Salam Khan called him over 40 times and threatened to kill him. Aditya Chopra referred to Vivek as the next SRK, those days are long gone.
Mandakini: The actress was dropped from a majority of her Bollywood projects after photographs of her with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim surfaced.
Shiney Ahuja: The actor was jailed on the charges of raping his maid and since then, he only appeared in a small role in Welcome Back in 2015.
