It's not just Hollywood but films from other countries such as South Korea, Poland, Iran, Russia have also found themselves being remade in Bollywood.
The Indian writers, directors and producers modify the stories of the film as per Indian needs and cut out scenes showing too much of violence and sex. Awara Pagal Deewana: The Akshay Kumar-Suneil Shetty starrer copied its plot from Hollywood film The Whole Nine Yards, starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry. Also, the action scenes of the films were heavily copied from The Matrix.
Ta Ra Rum Pum: The Saif Ali Khan-Rani Mukerji starrer was a copy of 2 Hollywood films based on NASCAR backdrop- Talladega Nights and Days of Thunder.
You Me Aur Hum: The Ajay Devgn featuring himself and his wife Kajol in the lead roles was a copy of The Notebook and Korean film A Moment To Remember.
Baadshah: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer was a copy of multiple films- Nick of TIme, The Mask, Rush Hour and Mr Nice Guy.
Dhoom: The Abhishek Bachchan-John Abraham starrer film was a blend of The Fast and the Furious and Ocean's Eleven.
