Bollywood Situations That Would Never Happen In Life
A little suspension of disbelief is expected when you watch any creative content, but Bollywood somehow tends to expect too much out us in terms of suspension of disbelief. It is true that we have come a long way from heroes beating up ten baddies single-handedly or jumping from twenty stories and landing on their feet, but still there are plenty of instances that are present in today’s films that would never occur in real lives.
Finding Your Crush, Again and Again
Of all the romantic clichés that Bollywood has shoved down our throats over the years, we hate this the most. The ease with which people find the girl or guy in the found cute in bus in different places is simply unfathomable. Firstly given how crowded public transport are we don’t understand how can you concentrate enough on someone to develop a liking or crush. How does the ‘nain matakka’ work when someone is stepping on your toes or all you can smell is sweat. But even if we take you to be a romantic of highest sorts, strictly speaking, the probability of you finding that cutie again in malls or temples randomly is very, very low. And to top it all off, the person would also fall in love with you in another assumption created by Bollywood that needs to be debunked. He/she or will either not remember you or worse lodge a police complain against you for stalking.
Finding your lookalike
Ok firstly, no matter how many times Bollywood reinforces this belief, chances of you bumping into your doppelganger in really one in a billion. But even if that’s a possibility, there is no way that person would be your long lost sibling or anyway related to you. That is just ridiculous.
Talking People Out Of Coma
Let us get this straight, coma is a very serious medical condition and not your roommate who takes too much time in the washroom, that you can just talk or emotionally blackmail them out of it. So, irrespective of how emotional a speech is, it is only in Bollywood that the person in coma responds to that and not in real life.
When Success Strikes, It Strikes Hard
So Bollywood has a set pattern of showing life. It begins with impossible hardships that require impossible efforts, but when it comes to fruits of your labour, it is always, without fail extremely sweet. Like if someone becomes a writer after hardships, their book has to be the biggest bestseller or someone who is good at catching falling kites goes through a lot of trouble to learn wrestling has to win the world championship. In real life, we struggled a lot to learn cooking, but forget winning Masterchef, we are still dependent on instant noodlesfor most of our meals.
Taking A Vacation To Find Yourself
From bachelor trips to Spain to a vacation to Corsica to be yourself or simply because it happened to be the backdrop of your favourite comic book, Bollywood movies these days are very keen on sending you for an exotic trip. But here is the simple conundrum, very few among us can afford such trips and the ones who can works so hard to earn that kind of money, that it is highly unlikely that they would get enough leaves to go for such an extravagant vacation.
