6 Bollywood Songs Which Arijit Singh Completely Ruined For Us
Bollywood has more than often been in the wrong news thanks to its habit of shamelessly copying stuff from almost anything or anywhere. It is only recently with the advancement of the digital and the social media that we are seeing filmmakers, producers and actors going that extra mile and taking permissions from the rightful owners. But still, we see a lot of songs, films getting a revamped/remixed/remake version to appeal to the new audience.
The catch here is that most of these new versions get polarized reviews with a majority of the audience repeatedly requesting not to spoil the original versions. Arijit Singh is undoubtedly one of the best singers in India and arguably the most popular singer in the country right now. He has given us numerous hits and its difficult to keep the count. But, he has also attracted criticism for some of the songs which were originally sung by other singers. Here are 6 such songs:
Main Tera Boyfriend: Originally sung by popular Punjabi singer J Star, the Raabta version the song is unable to do justice to its Punjabi version.
Dil Diyan Gallan: We heard the news that Dil Diyan Gallan could have gone to Arijit as well but didn't and we are glad! Atif Aslam totally nailed this song.
Yaariyan: Mohan Kanan's voice is inseparable from Yaariyan in Cocktail and Arijit's version doesn't match up to it.
Har Kisi Ko: Another modern version of an 80s classic song, most of our elders still haven't forgiven the revamped version of the song.
Aaja Maahi: The original song sung by RDB remains popular today and there was no need of Arijit's version in Singh is Bliing whatsoever.
Tu Hi Hai: Its a universal truth, Ali Zafar's version is way-way better.
