Alia Bhatt's Raazi has exceeded all the expectations and broke into the 100 Crore club a couple of days back and Sonam Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor's Veere De Wedding has opened to great numbers at the box-office. Over the years, Bollywood has seen the release of a considerable number of films led by actresses but now these films are gaining prominence box-office wise as well as audiences are appreciating the content and great performances.

Neerja: The Sonam Kapoor starrer earned a thumbs up from the audiences as well as the critics and earned 4.7 Crores on its opening day.
Secret Superstar: The Zaira Wasim starrer was directed by Advait Chandan and the film also featured Aamir Khan in an extended cameo. The film earned 4.8 Crores on its first day.
Raazi: The Alia Bhatt starrer opened to rave reviews and earned 7.53 Crores on its first day at the box office.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns: The Kangana Ranaut starrer was a blockbuster and earned 8.75 Crores on its day 1.
Dear Zindagi: The Gauri Shinde directorial was led by Alia Bhatt and featured Shah Rukh Khan in a supporting role. It collected 8.75 Crores on its first day.
The Dirty Picture: The Vidya Balan starrer was one of the biggest hits of 2011 and earned 9.5 Crores on its opening day.
Veere Di Wedding: The female buddy comedy was on track for a good opening but exceeded expectations by collecting 10.7 Crores on its opening day.
