Here Are 5 Reasons Why We Believe Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety Will Not Be Pyaar Ka Punchnama 3
The director that gave us Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2 and Akaash Vani, Luv Ranjan’s fourth venture is all set to hit the screens this Friday. While the town is abuzz with the comparisons between this film and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2 as the director and most of the cast is also same, here is why we think Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will be the film with which the team is going break out of the mold finally.
The Wedding Angle
Apart from Akash Vaani, Luv Ranjan has exclusively dealt with the woes of bachelorhood. None of the characters in either of the Pyaar Ka Punchnamas has marriage on their minds. This one, however, almost revolves around marriage as the central plot. Thus it is obvious that treatment of the narrative would be completely different. Also, coming from Luv Ranjan, we are also sure that this will brings out some of the most brutally honest aspects of holy matrimony in the most comical and entertaining way.
The Family Angle
This one again is a far cry from what Luv Ranjan has done so far. Apart from Supriya’s parents in the second installment of Pyaar Ka Punchnanma, parents have been completely absent from the narrative his films. But this one will involve parents into the plot and given its set against the premise of a wedding, they will have a lot to contribute to the plot. With parental idiosyncrasies blending with the wit of Luv Ranjan, it would be an interesting watch for sure.
The Chemistry Angle
This one might actually be one factor that might not go down well with the audience. No matter how much we crib about Luv Ranjan working with the same set of actors in every film, we have also come to expect to see these familiar faces in his films, especially Kartik Aryan and Nushrat Bharucha lead romantic pair. In this one, however, although Kartik Aryan and Nushrat Bharucha are there in the lead roles, but Nushrat is paired opposite Sunny Singh instead of Kartik. Thus, instead of their ‘babu’ brand of romance, we will be witnessing them trying to one-up each other in a sort of game of wits, which might or not be liked by the audience who are used to seeing the two as a romantic couple.
The Musical Angle
When the first installment of Pyaar Ka Punchnama released, no one expected it to be a hit. But even after the roaring success it received, the songs of both the installments were not very popular. But with this film, Luv Ranjan seems to have put more thought, effort and even money in music. Certain songs of the films that have been released are already becoming pretty popular which is a first for any Luv Ranjan film, which is not really known for popular music.
The Seriousness Angle
Luv Ranjan films have always been tagged as being grossly unfair to women. Some have even called his films misogynistic. The director has, however, always replied to such comments by re-instating that it is only meant for fun and comedy and for intellectualizing. His films usually do not have an iota of seriousness and maintain the fun vibe throughout. This one, although slated to be a comedy caper, with the involvement of weddings, parents and a tussle between Kartik and Nushrat might just be a little higher on the seriousness scale.
