Here's Why Simmba Means A Lot More To Ranveer Singh Than Just Another 100 Crore Film!
Ranveer Singh has revealed himself and his acting prowess long back. The man, who debuted with Band, Baaja, Baarat has come a long way indeed. From being just a romantic hero to giving us films like Lootera and Padmaavat and Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela, he has grown as an actor and how!
Ranveer Singh had a fantastic 2018. He began and ended the year and both had been fantastic. He was nuanced and had villainy drop from his eyes in Padmaavat which released in January 25th. He was in a completely different avatar, giving us a tadka of entertainment by the end of the year as the bad turned good cop Simmba. In fact, Simmba had opened to even better numbers than the highly awaited Padmaavat.
Well, Simmba has been proven to be a super-duper success at the box-office. But Simmba's success means a lot more to Ranveer Singh. Here's why:
1. It has proven Ranveer's range of acting
Simmba is something that showed Ranveer much like how he is in real life. Over the top and colorful, Simmba was almost synonymous to Ranveer. But this character also proved that Ranveer can be just about anything. He can be the lover boy that he had been in Dil Dhadakne Do, a person stuck in circumstances like that in Lootera or a villain like Allauddin Khailji. Simmba added another feather to Ranveer's cap!
2. Ranveer can also do action films!
This was Ranveer's one of the films where he was seen in the avatar of an action hero. And he nailed it completely. We have not just loved him but the audiences also praised him with all the seetis and taalis!
3. Ranveer can succeed without Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Simmba is proof that Ranveer can also register hits with directors other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali. His chemistry and understanding with Rohit Shetty were visible and even though his films with acclaimed directors like Vikramaditya Motwane and Aditya Chopra were not box-office success, Simmba broke the SLB-Ranveer cover!
4. He can carry a film all by himself
Simmba was all about Ranveer Singh only and given the limited role of Sara Ali Khan, it was Ranveer who carried the film on his own shoulders. Needless to say, he did a brilliant job!
5. Deepika isn't Ranveer's only lucky charm.
All of Ranveer's best films had been with Deepika. This was broke that myth!
