HTMS 2018: The Major Highlights Of India's Most Stylish Awards

The Hindustan Times India's Most Stylish Awards' 7th edition took place at Yah Raj Studios in Mumbai on 24th January 2018 and the event was a starry affair. The who's who of the entertainment world along with prominent names from corporate, politics and sports attended the awards function and upped the glamour quotient of the night. A number of celebs were seen with their loved ones, better-halves, and friends from the industry.

The event was hosted by stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das who left the audiences in splits with his sense of humor, digs at the entertainment world and his one on ones with different stars. Popular VJ and actor Cyrus Sahukar was hosting the celebs at Red Carpet and also carried Varun Dhawan on his back to the stage! The HTMS Award is given every year to the celebs who apart from performing excellently at their professions also make a unique fashion statement throughout the year and give their fans and everyone else some serious fashion and style goals.

Here are the major highlights from the HTMS 2018:

Vir Das' Opening Act: The comedian kicked off the ceremony with his unique style and made fun of everyone and everything ranging from the selfie obsession, tweet culture, digital journalism to the celeb culture, Ranveer Singh and Pahlaj Nihalani.

Digs, Humour, and Jokes: Padmavaat, Karni Sena, Politics & Politicians, Pahlaj Nihalani, Ranveer Singh, Vir Das' own film career were discussed and made fun of throughout the length of the show which left everyone bursting with laughter.

Varun Dhawan's entry: The actor stayed true to the definition of a film star and arrived late to receive his award! He was carried on stage by Cyrus Sahukar on his back and later on discussed a very important picture of his with Vir Das.

Shahid Kapoor and Meera Rajput's win: The industry's most popular couple won the Most Stylish Couple Award and Shahid also won the Award for India's Most Stylish (Male). The couple thanked each other while Mira also said that it's difficult to keep up with Shahid's style statement. 

Manish Malhotra's fashion show: The legendary Fashion designer was also on the Jury which decided the winners. The audiences were presented with his latest collection of 2018 exclusively for the Awards. 

Farhan Akhtar and Vir Das' funny impersonations: One of the most fun bits of the night was Farhan Akhtar and Vir Das's hilarious impersonations of each other. While Vir totally aced Farhan's voice and sang a song, Farhan did a stand-up bit in Vir's voice which left everyone laughing. 

Deepika Padukone's moving speech: Deepika Padukone received a special mention as well as received a huge round of applause from the crowd for her courage and confidence during the testing times of Padmaavat's release. She won India's Most Stylish (Female).

Akshay Kumar's Jeep winning moment: The actor who won Jeep's Style Badge of Honour Award was a part of a hilarious bit where he asked for his free Jeep from the Head of Marketing of Fiat Motors and Vir Das made sure he gets his Free Jeep!
