Race 3 Trailer Will Remind You Of These Iconic Hollywood Action Films
Salman Khan's upcoming film Race 3 released its trailer yesterday and it has caused major excitement amongst the fans of the actor. The film is undoubtedly one of the biggest releases of the year and also one of the most awaited films of the year. Salman Khan is coming off the success of Tiger Zinda Hai which was a huge success worldwide and grossed over 300 Crores in India.
Race 3 also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles and is directed by Remo D'Souza. Previous Installments were led by Saif Ali Khan who is replaced by Salman Khan as the lead. But, the trailer seemed to focus more on the action scenes rather than the mind games which are a trademark of Race franchise. Also, some action scenes are copied from iconic Hollywood blockbusters.
The Dark Knight: The opening scene of the trailer has our protagonist Sikander on top of a skyscraper, ready to jump like Batman in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight whose trailer also featured the hero jumping off a skyscraper.
Fast and Furious Franchise: One theme which runs throughout the trailer of Race 3 is 'family'. Now add high octane action stunts along with fast cars and races and wallah! you get the Indianized version of Fast & Furious franchise whose theme always revolves around 'family'.
XXX: Salman Khan is seen riding a motorcycle whilst surrounded by the enemies and is probably wreaking havoc on the bad guys and flying on his bike. The scene is pretty much copied from Vin Diesel's XXX where he fights the bad guys in a jungle on a bike and goes airborne quite a few times.
Point Break: The iconic 1991 Hollywood crime-thriller Point Break had Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves in the lead roles. The film focused on extreme sports and had some of the most death-defying stunts of the time, one of them was the memorable skydiving scene and Race 3 has taken a cue from it as well.
Tiger Zinda Hai: Now, The Rock in Fast & Furious 7 actually came up with this pose when he wields a machine gun in all his masculinity glory which pleased the fanboys and fangirls. Salman Khan did this in Tiger Zinda Hai and graduated to missiles in Race 3.
