SRK's fight at Wankhede Stadium (2012): The 2012 edition of the league was in the wrong news after a major altercation between Wankhede stadium officials and Bollywood star and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan. SRK said that the Mumbai Cricket Association should apologize as its security guards shoved his daughter Suhana and other kids. The MCA officials said that Khan was drunk and banned him from the stadium.
Preity Zinta-Ness Wadia Fight (2014): Kings XI Punjab owners Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia used to date in real life but ended their relationship after a couple of years. Both, however, continued their professional partnerships. But, in 2014, Preity Zinta filed a police complaint against Ness Wadia and accused him of molesting & manhandling her as well as threatening to kill her.
Kohli breaks BCCI Guidelines (2015): During a match when rain stopped play, Virat Kohli stepped out of the players' area to meet Anushka Sharma who he was dating. As per the BCCI guidelines, players can't step out of their area to meet their friends or family members and the BCCI reprimanded Kohli for his conduct.
Siddharth Mallya kissed Deepika Padukone (2011): Siddharth Mallya's father Vijay Mallya owns Royal Challengers Bangalore and after one thrilling win over KKR, Siddharth Mallya grabbed Deepika Padukone and kissed her live on National TV. It resulted in a lot of controversies.
Raj Kundra confesses to betting on IPL matches (2013): Rajasthan Royals co-owner and Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra confessed to betting on Rajasthan Royal's matches as well as matches of other teams through a bookie. Rajasthan Royal was banned for two years.
