8 Popular Bollywood Stars And Their HONEST Bollywood Debuts!

Bollywood debuts are often a matter of celebration of every actor whose steps into the industry. But for some actors their debuts took a long time to happen after they have stepped into Bollywood. While the first films of some went simply unnoticed, for some others the popular debuts were total disasters. Thus we came to know them but to recognize them as actors we have to wait really long for some other films where they actually decided to display some talent! Here is a list of Bollywood actors and their very honest Bollywood debuts! 

Shraddha Kapoor – Honest Debut: Aashiqui 2

 Her debut was in the movie Teen Patti in 2011 where she went fairly unnoticed and we were blissfully unaware of her existence till Aashiqui 2 happened in 2013. Packed with a lot of melo drama and some intense chemistry, it was the very first time she made her presence felt!

Sonam Kapoor – Honest Debut: Neerja

We had been waiting since Saawariya in 2007 for her to act and break the image of being just another pretty face. She finally did it in Neerja in 2016, nearly a decade after arrival into Bollywood, when we had nearly given up!

Katrina Kaif – Honest Debut: Namastey London

Her debut film Boom (2003) made noise for being a sleazy B grade film and nothing else. The rest of her career was shaping out fine with no acting skills and only thanks to Salman Khan by her side. With Namaste Landon in 2007 she finally for the first time fit into a role and did justice to it. But then we lost her again!!

Alia Bhatt – Honest Debut: Highway

She made her debut in Student Of The Year in 2012 and made us wince as we started to count her in the league of the other piggy back ride actresses. But Alia pleasantly surprised all in the de glam avatar in her very second film Highway in 2014, where she floored us with her versatility and we knew she had arrived.

John Abraham – Honest Debut: Dhoom

The Bollywood hunk made his debut in the film Jism in 2003 with not a limb in his body suggesting of some acting talent. He did 5 films in a year and in 2004 Doom came out. Playing a brooding super cool thief in the film he finally marked his arrival into Bollywood.

Arjun Rampal  - Honest Debut: Rock On!

His debut that happened in 2001 with a super flop Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat never suggested that we would ever see him as a good actor. But years later in 2008 he surprised us in Rock On! and we were introduced to Arjun Rampal the actor!

Aditya Roy Kapur – Honest Debut: Aashiqui 2

He came into the industry in a mega flop called London Dream in 2009. We had simply no hopes from him till his intense acting abilities jumped out in Aashiqui 2 in 2013 and he was suddenly very popular!

Aishwarya Rai – Honest Debut: Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

She did not need Bollywood to make her famous with her Miss World Pageant enough for her to bask in her glory, but she chose to take up acting with Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya in 1997 and we were thoroughly disappointed. It took her a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film and an intense chemistry with Salman Khan in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999, to mark her acting debut! 

But the good news is that they finally made it!
