5 Bollywood Actors Who Shot In Unfavorable Conditions Despite Having High Fever
Behind glamorous sets, beautiful wardrobes and exquisite international location and the usual glitz we associate with Bollywood, we often forget the sheer hard work that goes into making creating those beautiful imageries that we can’t enough of. When we see the stars all polished and decked up in events and envy their glamorous lifestyles, we never peek behind the curtains and see the bruises and sweat that goes into the process of filmmaking.
Although most Bollywood stars have a reputation for being divas, there are also many whose professionalism and dedication to work is unparalleled. Unlike us, stars can rarely afford to take leaves from shooting schedule given their absence would mean the producer losing a ton for one day of a canceled shoot, thus it is not unheard of stars to shoot with high fever and not in normal conditions but in rains or in extremely low temperatures. These are a few Bollywood actors who did exactly that.
The late superstar has been an icon in every possible aspect. Apart from her mesmerizing beauty and awe-inspiring acting skills, she was also known for her thorough professionalism. Sridevi has shot two of her most memorable rain dance sequences, 'Katey Nahi Kat Tey' from Mr. India and 'Na Jane Kaha Se Ayi' Hai from Chalbaaz while suffering from very high fever. In fact she felt so ill during her song from Mr. India that director Shekhar Kapur had to immediately cancel the shoot and doctor had to be summoned on the sets.
While shooting for the ‘Ooh La La’ song from The Dirty Picture, there was one particular sequence where she had to shoot near a fountain with water. The problem was the day that sequence was to be shot Vidya turned up on the set with a very high fever. However, being a thorough professional Vidya not only completed the shoot that required her to be in the water and drenched clothes but did an amazing job at it as well.
Raveena Tandon
The superstar of 90s, Raveena Tandon pulled the same feat as well. We have all seen and fallen in love with her in the ‘Tip Tip Barsa’ from Mohra and its probably one of her most iconic songs ever. However, many don’t know that while shooting for the sizzling rain number, she had a body temperature of 103 degrees due to very high fever.
Salman Khan is also one actor who shot in adverse weather conditions despite having a really high fever. For his film Tiger Zinda Hai, which was mostly shot in places with a really low temperature, Salman was unwell and had high fever in a couple of sequences which required him to do not only high octane action but in extremely cold temperatures, and all of it while suffering from high fever.
Asin
We dearly miss Asin on big screen and it is not for no reason. The actress who won our hearts with stellar performances in films such as Ghajini and Ready is also a dedicated performer. While shooting for her film All is Well Asin fell seriously ill. To top it off, they crew was shooting in Shimla, which at that time was registering a temperature of 3 degrees. However, the actress not only shot with a high fever in such a cold weather but also did not flinch to give her personal staff a day off for falling sick.
