Bollywood Celebrities Whose Hollywood Projects Did Not Work Out Despite Giving Auditions

Ask any producer or director about the biggest struggle of their lives, and they will tell you it is getting stars on board for their projects. Our superstars of Bollywood have literally people fighting with each other over their dates and though screen tests are still a thing, it is mostly on the established stars to get on board for the projects.

However, this power dynamics shift completely when the same stars try to break into Hollywood. While Hollywood has always treated Indian actors with great love and respect, stars, surely do not enjoy the same privileges when in Hollywood. Thus there are many big stars who have not only appeared to audition for Hollywood films but sometimes they have also got rejected. Here are the ones we are talking.

Ranveer Singh

The Simmba star recently revealed that he had appeared for an audition for a role in a Hollywood film, but nothing really worked out. He revealed that in most instances it was a case of scheduling conflicts due to which the projects did not work out.

Priyanka Chopra

The international desi girl is probably the first Indian actors to get so much success and love in Hollywood. But before she slayed with Quantico and Baywatch, Priyanka revealed that she was indeed rejected for a Hollywood film. She said it was a clear case of racism as the makers of the film rejected her as they did not want a brown girl.

Deepika Padukone

If things would have gone a little differently, then Fast and Furious 7 would have been Deepika’s Hollywood debut instead of XXX: Xander Cage. Deepika was being considered for the role of tech and science expert in the seventh installment of the franchise. Even the brief said that they wanted someone like Deepika Padukone, but in the end, nothing really materialized.

 Kangana Ranaut

Deepika was not the only one who auditioned for this role in Fast and Furious 7. Kangana Ranaut was in the race as she also auditioned for the same role. However, the makers were not satisfied with Kangana either.

Chitrangada Singh

Bollywood heroines surely battled it out to be a part of Fast and Furious 7. Apart from Deepika and Kangana, the sultry beauty of Bollywood, Chitrangada Singh also appeared for the audition of this role. Clearly, the makers were not happy with her either and finally, the role was dropped from the film.

Sonam Kapoor

Not many people know this, but Sonam Kapoor also tried out her luck in Hollywood. Sonam auditioned for the superhit franchise Pirates Of The Caribbean. She auditioned for a role for a role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Don’t Talk, but things did not work out in her favor.
