Dildara From Pati Patni Aur Woh Manages To Strike A Chord, Could Be The New Breakup Anthem

The makers of Pati Patni Aur Woh just releases their new song Dilbara and we must say we are impressed. Composed and sung by Sachet Tandon the song is very different from the last two songs from the film Dheeme Dheeme and Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare which has been topping every chart since it came out.

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Pandey and Bhumi Pednekar, Pati Patni Aur Woh is a remake of the 1965 film of the same name and is being directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film will hit the theatres on 6th December. Here’s is what we think about the new song.

Has A Heart-Touching Feel

The song is a sad romantic ballad and the tune and the lyrics justify the mood. The lyrics are heavy on Punjabi but the meaning isn’t too difficult to decipher. It is a song where Kartik’s character is regretting his action and the fact that he has hurt the one (or ones) he loves. The song is also shot nicely and might remind you of a few music videos.

Sad Kartik Aaryan

Not to say that we do not love his smile, if memory serves me well then we are seeing a sad Kartik Aaryan for the first time on-screen, especially in a romantic number. He looks like he is quite adept at pulling of intense emotions and it also shows the more serious side of the film instead of the playful tone that the trailer and all the other songs so far have been setting so far.

Original Composition

We are at a point in our lives when original compositions in Bollywood surprise us and thus it finds a special mention here. While nothing very unique or never-heard-before, the melody has a heart-touching quality to it and has every potential to become a breakup anthem.

Reminded Us Of Dil De Diya Hai

Remember Dil De Diya Hai from Masti? The situation and even the melody, in the beginning, will remind you of a lot of that song. It was also a song that the husbands were singing when they regretted cheating on their wives and the situation in this song is identical.
