Pati Patni Aur Woh Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare Song: Kartik, Ananya And Bhumi Bring Back The Madness Of Govinda And Raveena Tandon

There is hardly a filmy kid who has not danced to this superhit number by Govinda and Raveen Tandon and while it is never a good idea to remake cult hits, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Pandey manage to pull off Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare pretty well. The new song from Pati Patni Aur Woh is the latest addition to Tanishk Bagchi’s ever-increasing list of remakes, but despite us, we are not mad at the song.

Kartik Aaryan, as the country has discovered, has an ineffable charm that is infectious, to say the least. Ananya Pandey shines bright and it is just so much fun to see Bhumi Pednekar all dolled up and going on a full-on Bollywood dance trip. The girl can dance too and here directors cannot think of a role for her that does not include her crying buckets.

While the picturization is pretty generic for most promotional tracks, what seems weird is Kartik Aaryan’s face on Mika Singh’s voice. Nope, that cannot be right! However, as usual, Mika Singh and his voice bring in the swag and fun a song like this needs.

The steps are also a little bit of a throwback to Govinda and Raveena Tandon and that is really the sweet part about the song. It is cheesy and mad but pretty self-aware at being so.  While clubs are surely going to play it during the upcoming party season and there is a good chance that no Govinda fan will be able to resist hitting the dance floor when this one plays.
