As fans, we have a strange relationship with star kids. While the obsession would be termed as unhealthy on certain parameters, the truth is these kids have literally grown up in front of us and we are as invested in their lives as their parents are. Being the daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Suhaana Khan has been one such star kid and we are eagerly waiting for her Bollywood debut. While that is sure to happen soon, Suhana recently made her debut with a short film named ‘The Grey Part Of Blue’ made by one of her classmates at the film school, Theodore Gimeno.

The film, which is, of course, a student’s project, isn’t very refined in terms of story or direction but Suhana Khan sure manages to make an impact. Suhana has a terrific screen presence and unlike most first-timers in front of the camera, her dialogue delivery is pretty solid. In fact, there is something very charming about the way she speaks and despite her young age doesn’t sound too girly when it comes to her voice. While the 10.24 minutes long short film is hardly enough to judge her as an actor, we can surely say that so far we are very very pleasantly surprised.

It would surely be interesting to see what dad Shah Rukh Khan or his other colleagues from the industry has to say about the film. Time and again there has been conjecture about Suhana’s Bollywood debut and we have been excited given she is Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter but after seeing the film we are excited because she is truly showing promise as a newcomer who knows her craft.
