Inside Edge 2 Trailer: Angad Bedi, Siddhant Chaturvedi And Vivek Oberoi Promise A Deadly Punch Of Cricket And Politics

It is the second season of Inside Edge 2 and the fictitious PPL is back. The cricket league depicted in the show might be imaginary, but the trailer has surely sparked off a very real interest among us. Right at the onset, it is necessary to proclaim that, personally speaking, the trailer already looks more promising than the first season. While the first season managed to create some intrigue and delivered at the end, the middle episodes were kinda dragging. But this one looks already better and bigger than the last.

The premise is again the PPL or Power Play League and this time it is Arvind Vashisht going up against Vayu Raghavan. Of course, our dear old MC Sher a.k.a. Siddhant Chaturvedi had all our attention and he is definitely not disappointed as the bowling protégée Prashant Kanodiya who is now obviously much more troubled after his experiences and the ‘accident’ in the last season.

Richa Chaddha and Manu Rishi are also reprising their roles as owners of Mumbai Mavericks and Haryana Hurricane respectively. There is also an angle of Performance Enhancement Drug in cricket as encouraged by Manu Rishi’s character Minister Handa. Also, it looks like Handa convinces Arvind Vashist to be in Haryana’s team by telling him that he is going to help him find the person who murdered Niranjan Suri (Sanjay Suri), their erstwhile coach.

Vivek Oberoi and his sinister self is also reprising his character as the mastermind in this deadly combination of money, power, politics, and cricket and Vayu is still chasing Mantra played by Sapna Pabbi. Other cast members such as Sayani Gupta and Flora Saini are also extending their roles from the first season.

The new addition to the cast is Aamir Bashir, who is playing Bhaisaab, the one who would probably be setting the deadly chain of event off. Apart from that, there is also Luke Kenny who looks like he is playing a character who is authorized to make sure that no foul play goes on in the league. There is also a glimpse of Elii Avram who will probably be playing Prashant Kanaujia’s love interest.

One can assume from the trailer that there will more cricket this time and apart from the deafening background music, which we are hoping is only there in the trailer, it is a really exciting one and we are surely waiting to binge on it as soon as it releases on Amazon Prime.
